Destination and Journey

Dad, we’ve been walking for days.
We’re exhausted, hungry and we were even attacked by wolves last night.
I don’t think seeing a sunset is worth all this.
The sunset by the sea is a beautiful reward my son, but it was never the goal.
The real purpose of this journey was for you to experience the unforgiving nature of the desert to learn how to survive when things get tough, how to be resilient.
It was about learning how to face your fears and push through.
Remember this, my son, it’s not about the destination. It’s about the journey and the person you become along the way.
